XP Home goes to screen saver and I can't get it back to SageTV
I have searched the forums and can't find the answer to this problem.
I have a new Panasonic plasma and want to avoid "screen burn-in", so I set the XP screen saver to activate in 1 minute. This is in case I have Sage minimized or off and I am using XP desktop apps directly, like IE, editing or whatever. If Sage is running and minimized or it's screen saver is active (Orbiting SAGE on black) then the XP SS can come on as well. The screen goes black. That's fine. However, I have to grab the keyboard and click the mouse button or move the trackball to get it back. I can't get it back using the remote. I set an IR code for POWER to make Sage go to standby and out of standby. That works if the XP desktop is visible, but it doesn't wake if the XP SS is active. How can I get it to come back to life? mcb

Don't use the Windows screensaver. Sage has its own screensaver. You can either have it come on when you sleep Sage or have it come on after x minutes of Sage inactivity. Also in detailed setup you can do enable video orbiting that should help you avoid burnin.

try using power management to shut off the monitor instead of screen saver. Disable the windows screensaver, go into the power options, and set monitor to power off in 5 minute or whatever. See if that works.
