xml error during install fixable?

Greetings,

I just purchased the Linux OEM version, downloaded the Gentoo ISO, got that going and followed the install guide's instructions verbatim for a fresh install.

But when I load the "installprofile.xml" file using the Gentoo Linux Installer I get the following message:

Error: An error occured loading the install profile

With my only option to choose OK and then quit.

I've looked at the .xml file and it seems just fine, I've tried multiple reboots and several verified copies of the Gentoo ISO but all result in the same undescriptive error message.

Has anyone here ever run into this and been able to fix the issue? Your input would be welcome.

Thanks that was it. The hard drive I had was bad.

The install is now proceeding with a new one.
