Any ideas on how to fix this weird problem?

I am running a slightly older version of SageTV (3.0.7) because I have tuner driver issues if I upgrade.

My problem started about a month ago.

Here is an example what happened: I have MotorWeek set as a favorite - it's on Saturdays at 3:00pm.

On Friday, if I look ahead at future recordings, I see it listed. If I check at 3:05, it is being recorded, and has the yellow boarder around it.

After it fiinishes recording, it vanishes. I tried uninstalling SageTV, deleting the directory, and deleting the registry stuff. I then reinstalled the 3.0.7 version, in hopes that I had a corrupt WIZ.BIN or something...

It does it for certain programs, not everything. I don't understand what would have caused this, and why it still happens after a re-install.

I would look at the debug logs and see if you see anything about the program being deleted.

edit: I went back and read your problems with drivers. I think at this time, since you haven't been able to get it working the way you want, I'd go ahead and blow out the box and start over. Just save a copy of your wiz.bin before you procede.

Not sure this will help you but I've seen similiar behaivior if the show was being recorded to a network drive.

Network congestion, or perhaps the pc hosting the share was crunching a dvd burn, etc.
