USB-UIRT Setup Help

I just got my USB-UIRT today and frantically am trying to get it setup. I seem to have successfully install the drivers and now am trying to use it in my S-Video source as my first test. My problem is that when I choose "Use external cable or satellite receiver to tune channel" then choose "USB-UIRT Transceiver" then choose the DirecTV source I created I get to the screen where it is telling me to point the remote at the USB-UIRT and hold down 0 until told to release it. Problem is that it never tells me to release the button and I can't even back out of that screen. I have to standby the client in order to get back to the menu. I am sure I am doing something stupid but I can't figure it out.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

How close are you holding the remote to the receiver? I think in learning mode it has to be within a few inches.

I have tried as close as 1 inch and as far away as 12 or so.. lot's of tries at lots of distances. When I am holding the button down the USB-UIRT is blinking so I know it is seeing the signal. Just not sure why I can't move past that screen.

Did you restart Sage (including the service) after hooking up the USB-UIRT and installing the drivers?

Sounds familiar to me ... Do you run Sage as a service ? If so, disable the service and do the setup again. This worked for me, and once configure you can enable the service again. Not sure if this is the problem, but it won't hurt to try ...
