Question about Channels and Tuners

I have my SageTV running 99.9% perfect. Here is my only problem. I have two PVR-150s, with one of them hooked up to the Hauppage remote. Tuner#1 is PERFECT, Tuner#2 is almost perfect.

Channel #81 has terrible picture quality with Tuner#2. It is the only channel with snow, static, and vert lines. My first thought would be is there any way to ensure Tuner#1 records shows on channel 81? (the picture quality is fine with it)

Then i thought of a better idea, if its possible, Could I take channel #81 from tuner#2? That way even when I'm switching channels, all of them would be good.

If you setup two lineups (say basic cable and extended cable for instance) and turn-off channel 81 on the lineup assigned to the bad tuner Sage will then never schedule a recording or LiveTV on it.

Okay, exactly how do I do this? I tried going through the channel setup for tuner#2, and deleting 81, but it also took the channel from tuner#1.

This is what I did, I setup Tuner#1 normal, charter cable extended service all channels enabled

Tuner#2 Charter cable basic service, all channels, except 81

But doing this also took channel 81 from Tuner#1

Thank you.

Did you go through the setup wizard and select a different lineup - like if you wanted a lineup from two different cities? I can select Mediacom Cable as one lineup for instance and then select Mediacom Digital Cable for the other lineup. Once you have separate lineups for the two tuners you can then disable a channel on one lineup and it will not affect the other.

Bob,

Thank you, it seems that the charter digital and basic lineups did it. Now instead of a 50% chance of getting a good recording on channel 81, I'll have a 100%. Its the weirdest thing, that two identical pvr-150's, I can only get one to tune in channel 81 well. I've switched pci slots and switched cable jacks. Oh well, after setting up the channels correctly (I think) the guide has stayed virtually the same. Thanks Again!

Ricky
