IR Blaster?
I just purchased the dual tuner + Sage combo last night and today I have a new question. Do I need to buy an IR blaster for my two satellite receivers or does this bundle come with one? If not what should I get.
Thank you for any help. Justin |

Unless the bundle says that it come with an IR blaster, it doesn't. If the satellite boxes can use a serial connection to control them, then you may want to consider doing that instead -- post the sat service & the receiver models & perhaps someone else can tell you whether they can be controlled via serial connections.

My cable company is Time Warner and I have a Scientific Atlanta cable box from them. I was looking on the back of the cable box (always a fun thing to do)..looking for a serial port...couldn't find one, but I did find an IR input, just like the one on the back of my PVR 150 card. How can I use that Ir input, with SageTV?
What I really want to do is change the channel on my cable box from any of my MVP's. Since my cable box gets the higher channels above 77, which I do not get through my PVR card. Gary Last edited by garyellis; 07-25-2006 at 06:39 AM. |
