SageTV GUI Potential

Hi all,
Just thought I'd share some screenshots (this and the next three messages) of what you can do with what we already have in the current version of SageTV and to show that the UI isn't all that horrible right now.

And the last. I apologize if I broke some flood rule or something but I don't think I did.

They were just like that. I changed that background image. Maybe that is why you are noticing.

I changed the background picture and the color over on the blue side of the scale like the original background. I cannot get it to display as the picture actually looks. I have tried this with many pictures including the default background jpg from myhtpc.

RE

Better yet, I think we need to organize for when we get the studio software and split off theme making to different people.
I for one, have a Tivo which is hacked, and have access to all of the menu files, and backgrounds, so I can make a very similar interface. Somebody could take Snapstream, and work on mimicing those menus. I think we could also collaberate on the potential of taking all of the good stuff from each of the big ones and merge them together.

Great idea mikejaner

I'd be glad to help out with a Tivo style skin. Mine's not hacked, still this should be a minor issue once the Studio comes out.

Very cool idea.

I hope I can contribute in some way...but GUI design is not my strong suit.

I know this is an old thread but something in the Sage2 information thread brought me back here.

ToxMox,
Could you post a zip file with the channel logo's you created. The one's you just mentioned in the Sage2 info thread. I would really appreciate. Your lineup seems very similar to mine and I imagine it would help others as well. It could help us get a little of a jumpstart while waiting for Sage2.

I can Mod things, but I'm not to good at making from scratch.
