Import ripped DVDs/Videos that are on Client?

Is it possible to import ripped DVDs/Videos that are on a client machine in to Media Center? I've tried to add a directory on the Client Machine using UNC path to the import list and it did not import anything. The permissions were world read/write. I moved one of the ripped DVDs to the server (also using UNC path) and it imported fine. Does any one know if this is a limitation? Does the same limitation apply if the DVDs are located on a NAS box? I am running 5.x.

Thanks
SV.

Make sure you have shared out the directory on the client before using the UNC path. You should see that directory as a share in Network Neighborhood from the server. (The answer is yes. I have shared directories on a client and a NAS that imports rips just fine.)
