Advert Detection in the UK
Anyone managed to get this working, whether with the latest ComSkip or with Jere's ShowAnalyzer? Care to share how you did it? I've got the latest ComSkip, but it's very variable and half the time it cuts out bits that aren't commercials or fails to pick up bits that are commercials.

I generally get reasonable results with SA & Nielms webserver (channel profiles). (At times though lots of FF needed)
I normally get 90-100% hit rate on Sky 1/2/3 (using the logo as main point scoring). Other channels that leave the logo in between adverts tend to give me less accurate results Sky 1/2/3 Detection. (Good) Code:

Thanks, Hades. Might look at switching to ShowAnalyzer, then. Does anyone maintain settings for channels online? Sounds like it would be a good idea to share them, as it muct be pretty hard work setting it up.

Hi Mahoney,
Well Jere has a "Post Your Succesful Settings here" part of the forum. The whole advert detection thing is VERY country specific,i suggest you always use aggresive segmentation on UK stuff, even then the results can be great>bleeding awful - range of values. Using Nielm`s webserver & SA give inifinity better results via the profiles
