Wireless MVP Parabolic Antenna

I thought that others might be interested to see my MVP's new parabolic antenna (design: http://www.freeantennas.com/projects/template/ ). It increased my wireless signal strength ~ 10db.

As you can see, I'm obviously a highly skilled mechanical engineer. Don't try this at home (unless you happen to have some cardboard, electrical tape and $0.40 metal flashing available.)

BTW, this 10db gain seems to have vaulted me into the the 'stable wireless signal' arena, even through two floors of a solid 1912 home!

hard to see, but the metal flashing is curved into a parabola-like shape

I asked the spousal unit if this antenna would fit in with our living room decor. Think you can guess the answer

If you tried hard, you *might* be able to design one that is more appealing than this one...but I get your point.
