Why Auto-Add new channels?
When a new channel is added to an EPG, why is it automatically enabled. I know what channels I get. I know what is coming out. I do not need the sage EPG service automatically turning on stuff I do not get or do not want. I currently use a wide variety of guides from OTA and Dish. Each time Dish adds a channel, I have to go into 3 different guides to disable the channel if I do not want it to show up.
Please add an option to either enable of disable new channels from showing up as enabled by default when they are added for the first time to a lineup. |

My suspicion is that the EPG data is sent to each server in a comma delimited file, so to ensure the guide data matches the channel information, all channels including new channels are imported into the win.biz file.
You don't want to have a channel 100 added to your analog cable lineup by the cableco then discover that your directv "channel 100" is now showing directv "channel 101" data due to the imported data "spreadsheet" not matching the user's spreadsheet "grid". It's safer IMHO, to have all the EPG data on the HD and make the user manually edit the channels. But there is one channel on my cable lineup that I never receive EPG data for-the channel isn't listed in the epg-so the epg data is not perfect. |
