Multi-Card Readers and Slideshow

I know many of us have several-in-one card readers in our Sage systems but one problem I haven't heard talked about here on the forums is how to get SageTV to recognize a memory card has been inserted and to play the contents.
So when you plug in your memory card after taking pictures, what tricks do you use to play them in Sage and if Jeff and Dan are reading, are there plans in future revisions to account for this type of media?

Doesn't the infamous "new drive detected" popup cover this? Or have you disabled that and forgotten you did so?

That's what happens on mine. I stick in a card and I get the popup. Make sure you have that enabled.

Hmm. That's what I was expecting to happen when I built the system but with the card reader plugged in, I got 9 local drives with letters. Nothing happens when I put in a card because no new drives get added (just contents to a pre-existing drive).
Where is this magical checkbox you speak of?

I believe that is true since the drives already exist you will not get the popup. Maybe setup that drive to be an import and refresh the library when you stick in the memory card. Just a suggestion as I have not tried it. Hope it helps.

Thinking about this more, it seems that this is very similar to an audio CD being inserted. I have audio CDs associated with winamp on my other computers so can I associate them with SageTV on my HTPC somehow? Sage has a "-dvd" option that auto-runs movies -- does it have a "-cd" or "-picture" option as well?
