.7gb/hour definatly isnt .7gb/hour

I have the default recording quality set at the svcd .7gb/hour. but it ends up being more like 2gb/hour, what gives?

I am using the PVR 150 and 5.0.4 or whatever the newest version is. I just noticed it today when i went to burn some files to DVD. When I go to recording options it always says Use default SVCD extra long play format mpeg 2 @ .7gb/hour

Have you tried another recording quality rate to see if the file size fit its expected size?

If you have Hauppauge's WinTV2000 installed, try closing SageTV & then running WinTV2000. Set its recording rate, record a short bit, then exit & return to SageTV to see how it now records.

What I did when I ran into an issue with my PVR-USB2 a while back was to set up three 1-minute timed recordings at the lowest, middle, and highest recording rates. (Set up the timed recordings for 15-30 minutes away, then go to the Recording Schedule & adjust the 3 timed recordings' Recording Quality.) If those file sizes are pretty much the same, then there is a problem that can be reproduced for follow-up with tech support.
