picture gets big, then reverts

At the menu, Sage fills the screen just right. Then when I click on "watch TV" , as the program starts the whole picture expands and is thus slightly bigger than the TV screen....then when I stop and go back to the sage menu, it deflates back to the screen size..

Any ideas?

Go to Detailed setup. Multimedia then Aspect Ratio settings. Click on modify and set Horiz stretch to 99% and Vert Stretch to 99%. I was having the same problem and that fixed it.

exactly what is expanding, the SageTV menus or the video recordings? How are you outputting to the TV and is it a regular TV or HDTV?

The video is expaning..the menus are the right size...The video or live TV expands, then when I stop the video or live tv, it goes back to the menu and normal size

I have a similar experience when I use overlay. However, my video and menus will expand while running.

But since I use VMR9, and that works fine, I don't worry about it.
