SageMC and the missing SageTV3.xml file...

OK, so I have been searching for this issue and I can't find it so maybe I am the first person to have this problem; but I would like some help.
In the recent past I installed the SageMC package and to keep this short -- just don't think its for me. So I went to change my package back to Sagetv3.xml and no sagetv3.xml file shows up in any SageTV directory frankly it is not there anymore, or at least I can't find it, or Sage can't find it. I tried an install-over using the most recent version of Sage, saving my .properties and .bin files then placing those old files back into the SageTV directory - only to find the same problem - no SageTV3.xml access. I would rather not have to do a complete/clean SageTV install and lose my recording and favorties and such but I think this is the only way to get access to the SageTV3.xml file back. Since I an using the SageTV3.stv file as my package now, I don't have access to my PlaceShifter settings, among other things that I need. Hopefully someone knows how to fix this mess cause I am at a loss here.

Thanks

Edit your sage.properties file & change SageTV3.stv to SageTV3.xml for the STV property. If using service mode, edit sageclient.properties.

Not yet

Well, sadly the STV setting was already sagetv3.xml. But in detailed setup the SageTV Application Package is still SageTV3.stv and no access to PlaceShifter settings or other xml refinements. I shut everything down before I checked the Sage.properties file, ie the UI and the service. Other ideas?

As Opus4 said, you have to edit sageclient.properties if you are using the service.
