Audio out of sync

I've been recording some World Cup games and noticed the audio is out of sync by what appears to be about 2 seconds. I also have also seen this in some - BUT NOT ALL - of the Jon Stewart shows I've recorded in the past week. My other recordings (The Office, Law and Order, etc) don't have this problem. The only change I've made to the system was an upgrade from Sage v4.1.3 to 5.0.4 - could this be the culprit? I'm running Sonic decoders and a Plextor ConvertX TV402U. I'm recording in DivX Home Theater High Quality. Windows XP SP2 on a P4 2.8GHz system with 512 MB memory.
Also using Java 1.5.0_01.

Any ideas?
