Does 5.0.4 address some of the Hauppauge 350 issues introduced in 5.0?

I'm one of the Hauppauge 350 users that was very happy with the Sage 2.x versions.

I'm having two problems:
1.) Lockup during channel change (this happens mostly when the Sage recorder needs to change channel).

2.) Probably the EOF bug.

About 1.) Didn't there used to be some methods that were able to eliminate the lockups? I remember having them with early 2.x versions Newer 2.x versions and I believe some registry or ini setting fixed it. Can anyone remember this?
