Recording wrong show(s)?

Well I cant exactly understand what is happening with one of my Favorites. But it seems like it sometimes is recording the wrong show. Im trying to record the House Hunters show on channel 112, and it ends up recording something on a lower channel like channel 18.

When I watch these shows that are the *wrong ones*, the Title in the popup window, that shows up when you first Watch the Show, even says its House Hunters.

Out of 10 shows like 3 or 4 are the wrong ones. It does always seems like its recording those shows from the same channel, but always the wrong one.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Just figured I would ask. Its sort of annoying, and it seems to be the first time I have noticed a favorite doing this.

Are you using an IR blaster? If so, try relearning the commands for those digits. Is that channel sharing its time w/some other channel? Maybe it is changing the channel correctly & it just isn't playing what the EPG says. Have you remaped the channel in Channel Setup? If you gave it a different channel number, that is the number it will tune to.

I get something similiar on my setup, 95% of time its fine,then it does the 2 channel thing for the other 5% of time.

I use a USB-UIRT to control my SkyDigibox,and on occasions Sage5+USB-UIRT has incorrectly selected the wrong in a similair fashion to what steingra is seeing..ie two channel digits when it should be three (sky uses no 2 Digit channels).

I remember i initially had big problems setting up sage with the USB-UIRT the first time,when using the wizard to setup the blaster (ie..point remote @ receiver and press 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9),nothing ever seemed to happen,other than sage locked up @ 98 cpu usage..Cannot remember how i bodged it to work.

Now i just tried settting up my blaster via Setup Video Source / Tuner Control / Reprogram Infrared code,and it sits their with the "Point the remote control @ etc.etc" ,the USB-UIRT lights up on remote press,but sage never receives the command.

I am using a USB-UIRT to change channels. And it only seems to happen with Favorites. But then again I have recorded so many movies and shows, it could be happening with other shows and I just havent found out yet. I watch my favorites more than movies that I am recording.

I have vacation time coming up, and will be going thru more of the recorded shows to see if I am getting a lot of *wrong* channels being recorded. Or if its just my favorites.

It seems like it is just missing one of the digits when it changes the channel, and for no reason. But I just havent really scoped out the problem enough to know 100% for sure.

If I had to guess, I would say its probably happening across the board on all shows, periodically.

You could try watching Live TV and switch channels several times to see what happens each time. You can also go to the Source Details screen and test the IR codes via the Tuner Control option. Check that the IR codes were learned correctly & that the USB-UIRT is situated such that its blaster can get the signal to your converter box.
