Changing to Service Mode

If I want to start using service mode on my media server, what are the gotcha's?

Will my Sagetv.properties work or do I just copy sage.properties to sageclient.properties?

Will Neilm's web server still work completely or is there still the limitation that in service mode I can't see what's recording and playing on the local instance or the MVPs...

If you are using any network paths, you'll need to set it to log in as a user w/a password who has privilege to read/write to those locations, and it would have to be UNC paths, since it can't use mapped drive letters.

You'll also need to allow the server through your firewall.

The service will use the existing sage.properties for its own settings. The UI will use sageclient.properties, but if it doesn't exist, I think it gets its initial settings from sage.properties... it has been a long time since I tried that, but I think it still works that way. If it doesn't, I suppose a quick file copy would solve it.
