45 button remote doesn't work at all!

Hey kids. I just built a new HTPC and got my PVR 150 installed. I've got the IR receiver plugged into the back of it nice and snug, the newest IR app is running, and my remote has new batteries... and it won't do *anything*! Totally unresponsive in every app - WinTV, Sage, and notepad.

Anyone have any suggestions? This is driving me nuts. I really wanna get this working. Thanks.

Make sure you have the little black remote icon on sys. tray; if not, restart Haup. remote control in Programs/Hauppauge.

(If it is plugged into the 150, then it isn't the MCE style USB IR receiver.)

Are there any other Hauppauge tuner cards installled too? If so, then it is possible for the IR software to grab the wrong card, even one w/o an IR port.

Since it doesn't work anywhere, I suggest contactng Hauppauge. If none of the suggestions apply, you could also have a bad IR cable.

I don't have the little box - just the regular IR cable coming out of the PVR 150. I do have the IR app running in the tray. Just one tuner - nothing fancy going on here. I have already contacted Hauppauge - think they'll send me a replacement IR cable and remote?

I am having this same problem, with a PVR-150 as well. I got it to load the IR menu and open WinTV 2000, and I was playing with the volume for a bit, then it just stopped working. I've tried reseating the plug several times, "wiggled" it as per the instructions, and replaced it with my second board's cable. I know the remote is sending a signal because it is making my tv light blink, and the remote control program is running. I'll keep messing with it, and if I figure it out I'll post the solution, but in the meantime, if anybody else knows how to solve this issue, please let me know.
