StreamZAP: Sluggish Response

I am running a StreamZap Remote with the latest drivers (2.9.6). Button presses are real slow compared to a wireless keyboard and seem to get slower as the Sage instance remains active (2 days +).

I am trying to figure out if it is worth the effort to install a different remote receiver to get different drivers or if there is a more simple fix. Anyone else having this problem or is it somehow related to my personal software configuration?
