SageTV is deleting RIGHT after recording

For some reason, whenever sagetv records a show, manual or favorite, it deletes the show right after it finishes recording. I have two accounts on the computer a limited and an admin account. I've been recently doing alot of changes with the limited account to the sagetv software. (I did give full read/write access to the registry for sagetv and the folder where it saves the shows too). There is about 150 gigs still free on the drive. So if anyone has any idea what might be going on, I would appreciate the help.

You could check this post regarding enabling debug logging & the log should show why the files are deleted. If you send the log to support, be sure to send the entire log, not just a snippet.

A lot of time, recordings are removed if they are corrupt or incomplete. Perhaps the recordings aren't getting created properly.

Also - although there's 150 gigs free check the amount of space in detailed setup that you have specified to leave free on the drive. Also, check the Watched / Clear Watched status.

I did two more test last night. Usually I have been loading sagetv and leaving it in sleep mode under my limited account eventhough it runs as a service. (It is connected to a tv so I don't want people screwing around with things) Last night, I closed sagetv and just let the service run, and it did record and SAVE shows. So it seems like it's having an issue with the limited user loading sagetv eventhough I gave access to the sagetv folder, the sagetv registry settings, and to the folder it saves the files too.

The other thing I did was I changed the settings leaving 10 gigs free (I checked this was correct) and just said use all. But I think the first thing I did probably was the issue, but I'll do some more testing today. I can also check the logs later tonight when I get home from work.

Thanks.

P.S. I noticed that if you make any settings changes and put sagetv into sleep mode and reboot the computer, it won't save the settings. You must close sagetv to make the settings permanent. I have noticed this under my limited account. Is this normal for administrators too?

That could be one issue, since I believe it still has some issues when run as a limited user.

You mean you made setting changes inside the SageTV UI? It needs a little time to save the properties file, but it should save it when exited. Maybe the reboot process didn't give it a chance to exit properly.

You can force a properties save at any time by going to the Configuration Wizard main menu & then simply go to any other menu.

Ok, I just gave up and went back to an administrator account. The limited account was too much hastle to deal with, especially when I know everything works great in the admin account. Thanks for everyones help though. Maybe one day Sagetv will support limited accounts.
