Choppy Video?

Not sure if this is the correct description. The problem is every so often the the picture stutters and the on screen display appears. I'v tried a lot of different settings and decoders and still the same. Any thoughts or suggestions is really appreciated. BTW, using the latest Sage build. Thanks

You don't do anything & the OSD appears during playback? Are you sure this isn't due to watching live TV & SageTV is going through the process of changing the recording/playback to the next show every 30 mintures - 1 hour?

This is when watching a recorded show. The picture pauses momentarily then continues and the OSD appears.

Normally, the OSD only appears when a command is received. I'm not sure what happens when it switches files in a multi-file recording. Check the recorded show to see if it consists of multiple files, instead of just 1. You can look at the recording's detailed info screen & scroll all the way down to see the file list.
