Strange behavior on Startup
I have two clients that are configured to automatically login and have Sage Client automatically startup in a full screen layout after a reboot.
One Client, for whatever reason, will startup Sage in full screen with the message "waiting to connect to the server". Upon connecting to the server the Sage screen minimizes itself. The other client works correctly. Any idea what can be done to fix this behavior? Both clients are configured to start SageClient in full screen mode. Randy |

On the box that it is minimizing sage, it sounds like something else is stealing the main focus after Sage has already started. Is there a task bar icon that is loading a little late, after Sage has already fires up? Is there a way that you can disable the various task bar app icons to test his out?
Just a thought. if this is the case, and it turns out there is a task bar icon doing this, you may be able to auto start sage in another manner. Rather than using the auto-start option inside of Sage, try starting it via a batch file placed in the startup folder. In that batch file, you can use the sleep command before it launches sage. The delay you allow with the sleep command, would need to be long enough to allow those other task bar app icons to load, and thus not steal focus from Sage. Then, once they have all loaded (5, 10 , 15 seconds later, whatever it is) have your batch file then start sage. If you go this route, the sleep command is available as par tof the Windows 2003 Server Resouce kit. Although, I am sure you can find it somewhere else. |
