How to delete clients?

I seen a few posts about people deleting the clients folder when their MVP gets a black screen during bootup. Can someone please explain this procedure as I'm having the same problem with my MVP and v5.04.

Thanks

In the SageTV directory where it is installed, there is a subdirectory named "clients", where there are properties files for extender & placeshifter clients. That's the subdirectory that is being mentioned to be deleted -- look in the same place where SageTV.exe is found on your server PC.

Thanks for the reply but it didn't work. Was I supposed to stop the service before deleting it?

Yes - any time you are making changes like that you should completely close SageTV first, and that would include stopping the service.

Thanks that did the trick. Any word on when a fix for this will be included in Sage?

Unfortunately deleting the clients folder does not work everytime this problem occurs. And it occurs very often for me. Is there another work around that I can try?
