channel frequency mapping

I used the evaluation version for windows for some time and were pretty satisfied. I had to use frequency shifter tool to get all channels since I live in Europe/Switzerland. Now I bought the recent Linux version but I do not get any channels and I do not find the frq file on Linux. Maybe that's because I am not getting the EPG to work. I have a working internet connection and I can ping www.tvtv.de, but when I try to get the EPG data during channel setup, I get the error message "can not get data from www.tvtv.de,de" The URL looks a little wired to me because of the comma at the end of the first de. I tried to proceed without EPG data but the result were no channels at all. Should there be a frq file when I use Linux? Can I use the frq file from Windows which was working well?
Thanks for any help.
