Quality Issues and Questions

I'm new here, been playing around with SageTV. Great program.

I've been having quality issues. Even on the best of settings the lines (you know, on the blinds, people, etc) on Family Guy are all jagged like it's low resolution. It looks better viewing live TV and not even using the computer. What do you guys run for quality? Is there a quality FAQ or anything?

Any ideas?
