PVR150MCE and PVR500MCE

I originally bought a PVR500MCE and was using another card to connect my STB via S-Video and audio in through my Main Board sound input. This worked to record (if I turned off the .WAV output), but caused a problem when I tried to play and record at the same time. The audio input came back out the audio output – the sound hardware was not full duplex. If I didn’t turn off the .WAV, I got delayed echo feedback.

I then got a PVR150 so I’d have audio and video decoded on the card and not use the sound hardware for input.

They come up in SageTV as:
Hauppauge Tuner
Hauppauge Tuner #2
Hauppauge Tuner #3

Or something like that.

I set them up as tuner / tuner/ S-Video and then I just plugged in the S-Video cable until I found one that would play the video off the S-Video.

How do I tell which input is which in the PVR150 and PVR 500?
Can I tell them apart somehow by name?
Will it always power up the same?

Thanks,
Mike
