Unexpected channel changes
SageTV will sometimes change the channel (on the half hour or hour) to a channel unrelated to my favorite program selections. Also, I do not have intelligent recording enabled. I assume I have missed something basic but I need some parental guidance

Does the channel actually change, or does it simply set it to the same channel you are already watching live? There is an option for "Always tune channel" in Detailed Setup -> Cusomtize.
If it is recording other shows or changing channels during live TV w/o you being involved, then double check your Intelligent Recoridngs setting and the upcoming recording schedule. - Andy

I assume that "Always tune channel" only tunes the channel when Sage is about to do a recording. Is it possable that Sage will allways tunes the current channel when a new show is starting if "Always tune channel" is enabled even when not redording? Thanks

No, it shouldn't be changing channels when nothing is being recorded. (But 'Live TV' is still a recording.)
