Problem with DCT 2000 & Cable Box

Hello All,

I've been a happy Sagetv user for the last couple of years. Im currently using a digital cable box, & changing the channels via serial cable & dct program. Up until about a week ago, everything was fine, but now the dct isen't working, it stops changing the channel for me. If I go to guide, to try to change channel, it doesn't do anything, & then tunes into the channel it was last on. I have noticed that if I restart sagetv, it still doesn't work, but if I reboot my pc, it will work for about 5 minutes, & then quit again.

Is there any way I can maybe get this thing going again? Is there a way to uninstall/re-install just the dct program? I really don't want to have to reformat my pc, or loose my sage settings. Any help at all would be so greatly appreciated.

Thanks, cc

You might try this post.

I don't use the serial channel change, but this thread talks about it and maybe there's a new way to do it.

Remember Windows drivers and updates are a moving target, so everyone needs to move together to keep things working. You might need to update your change channel program.

I hope this gets you going into the right direction.
