9418 is the dish network channel limit

I have dish network, two pvr 250's, a usbuirt with two zones, and two dish 311 STB's. I was able to get it to change four digit channels by following this thread: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...ighlight=digit

It when I try to tune a channel such as 9418 lie 9486, it just tunes 9418 no matter what numbers get entered. I can actually see the tuner type out 9 4 8 6 and then it just changes to 9418. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes I remember that thread quite well
In fact, with EVERY release I have to go into studio and create a new 4 digit friendly SageTV3.XML and then reimport all of my STVi's

Back to your problem, Sounds like your Dish reciever is the culprit.
I had the same problem and it is NOT SAGETV that is causing it.
To test this theory, control your Dish receiver with your Dish remote and try changing to the same exact channel that was giving you the problem. I bet it will behave the same way....Dish techs call this problem "Missing Channels" I had two receivers do this and it is because of their STUPID receiver design. You need to have your Dish receiver upgrade itself to the new software version and the ONLY way to do that is to turn off your receiver for a few hours. I complained to Dish saying that I have a PVR and that doesn't work for me. They suggest shutting down your receiver overnight at least once a week or else you wont get the software upgrades. Anyway. I believe this is your problem.

So again try changing that channel that couldn't be changed correctly in sage with your Dish remote to confirm that it is a problem outside of Sage (I bet my life it isn't Sage)

Once you have determined it is a receiver problem, call Dish Network and tell them the problem and they will walk you through the process of manually upgrading your Dish receiver's software. In fact, one of my 2 receivers having this problem couldn't upgrade itself and they sent me a replacment. (My original tuner from 1998!)

Let us know how it turns out!

PS - Also, before I knew what the cause of the problem was, I did notice that powering off the receiver and turning it back on corrected the problem... if it does, don't think it is fixed..the problem returns a few hours later.

PSS - Please note I have updated the link you cited earlier http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...ighlight=digit

Wait... I have Dish Network... What's on channel 9486??
This channel does not exist on my Dish Network program guide although Sage says it is available.
Best to check your original Dish program guide for questionable channels.
I don't think you have any problems with your blaster or sage.
