Hauppauge 500 Volume Tweaking

Does anyone know how to adjust the LineIn volume on the Hauppauge 500 cards? I can't seem to do it with the tweaker or I just don't know exactly what setting to adjust. I was capturing input from a home video I made on my video camera and fed the RCA input jacks into the Hauppauge capture and it is coming in so loud (just as some programs do) that there is some static in the sound.

How do I turn the volume down? (on another note - how does one turn the volume UP on the NVidia DualTV capture card)? It would be nice to have shows with the same volume...
