.mpg doesn't play in MVP

I have a mpeg file that plays on the server machine, client, placeshifters, but doesn't play on my 2 MVP's. I created the .mpg using video redo. Anyone have any ideas why they won't playback. I don't get any errors. I just get a black screen and no sound.

what kind of audio in the mpg?

I had a few mpgs that were ac3 (dolby) and would not play in mvp, so I had to transcode the audio to mp2 and now they work great on my extender!

Chepazzo,
Thanks for the reply. It is AC3. What did you use to transcode them?

I had the same exact problem. It was the AC3 2-channel audio encoding that the MVP can't handle. Based on recommendations from users, I switched to editing videos with VideoRedo.

It's a nice little application (<$50), easy to use, writes pretty fast. Perhaps its feature is its ability to detect commercials (actually scene transitions) and mark them for you to help you when editing your videos.
