Music playlist weirdness
Okay here's a puzzler. Two machines on a network with full installations of Sage 5.0.2 and same Java version. Sage service running on both, logged-in as a network user (same user both machines) will full privileges to everything. Both have in import pointing to my MP3 collection on a separate server using identical UNC paths. The MP3 folder contains 23 playlists.
Now the fun part: on one Sage machine I can see 23 playlists. On the other, I see 3! I've tried recreating the import directory entry, refreshing imported media, no luck. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks!

Same user logged into both machines? Sounds like a rights issue.

Yep, definitely same user. It's a Windows domain and I use my own login (which has admin rights) for the Sage service. No permission differences between the files either.
Maybe Sage is just trying to mess with my head (not hard to do)? ![]()

Are all the playlists of the same file type (extension) or is there a mix of different types? Are all the missing files of the same type? Check seeker/playlist_import_filename_extensions to make sure it's the same on both machines.

No luck there either. They're all .m3u lists created with Winamp. There's nothing I can distingiush that's special about the 3 that the one machine displays.

Which machine or user created the playlists? Same one or from 2 different machines/users?

Um... "yes"
![]() The playlists were created with various versions of Winamp over the years, on a bunch of different computers. The've all been processed with a little VBScript I wrote that converts the filenames they contain to relative (rather than absolute) paths. According to Windows, the "owner" of all the files is the same account Sage is logged-in with (my domain login). I've attached a zip file with two playlists - one ("Christmas Traditional") is recognized by Sage, the other is not. Other than the obvious (they point to different files), I don't see any difference between them.
