How to install a new DVD decoder?
I just downloaded and installed PowerDVD. When I open SageTV, I do not see an option to select it like I do for the NVidia DVD decoder. What is the right way to install and use another DVD decoder? Thanks.

What version of PowerDVD? If it is the new one, PowerDVD 7 there may be an issue but it should show up as Cyberlink in Sage. It did with previous versions.

Have you restarted Sage, I think Sage only checks when you first start it.

Yes, I restarted SageTV. All this is on my client. I didn't install the decoder on my server and I didn't restart my server. I shouldn't have to do that should I?

Anyway, I don't see any new decoder options listed in SageTV, but with "Default" selected, it must be using the new decoder because it plays DVDs now.

Yes, it is the new one (v7). It doesn't seem to show up, but it does seem to work.
