Zooming into HD shows that have black borders
I recently got the Scientific Atlanta 3250 HDTV controller and HDTV package to go with my plasma TV. Unfortunately my SageTV PVR still uses a normal WINTV PVR 250 decoder card and as a result channels recorded on hdtv channels have a black border on the top and bottom sometimes. If they are non-HD shows then they even have a black border on the left and right in addition. I have the automatic aspect ratio switcher and am using it, but it doesn't help eliminate the black borders at all. It just switches between the source, fill, and 16x9 modes and there really isn't a difference between them. Anyone have any suggestions on how to zoom in for some shows and zoom out for others?

change 16x9 to have a 125% vertical stretch and then when watching HD programs recorded via S-video in 4:3 mode - use 16:9 AR mode to fill the screen. I do this all the time for HD shows that I record via Sage. Quality is VERY good using 3.2/hour
