Just a thought....
I know when I had troubles with the FF/RW it would make my remote keypresses very sluggish....
If I wasn't careful I could easily press many keys on the remote thinking nothing was happening, basically stacking up the keypresses.
Then all of a sudden...whoosh...al the commands would spew out of the buffer all at once taking you who knows where (or starting your DVD again??)

Dirk
After changing the "Back on Stop" setting to false, the stop button works perfectly.

Thanks for your help,

I changed video decoders and the FF function works better, but I still get 100 % cpu usage at x4 speed, which causes strange video behavior. After the FF speed reaches x8, everything works great. During this change from x4 to x8, the buttons on my remote become no responsive as you descibed.

Thanks for your help,

mykirven

I am not able to get the double press of the home to map to another screen.

I have enabled it in the menu and set it to "recorded TV" but it doesn't work. It just flashes the home screen when pressing it the second time. I have also tried mapping it to a number of other menus, and none of them seem to work.

Just curious if this may either be a bug or something on my end.

For some reason after a show is recorded and compressed with evilpenguins software, when attempting to play it, the video believes it's at the end and displays the dialog box asking what to do with the video (restart, delete, etc...)

Has anyone else noticed this, if so, is there a fix.

Any notes on how to get the dynamic weather URLs working ? Do i just add the URL (with %Y %D etc) into my properties file as per http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21704 ?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Hi Tim,

yes you can edit the URLs in the property file directly, or you can do this even easier in SageMC itself: go to the weather maps screen, highlight the map button corresponding to the map you want to change, and bring up the options menu. You can edit the URL manually, or paste it from the windows clipboard with ctrl-v.

Hi Halstead,

do the following:
  • shut down the UI
  • edit the property file and set ' ui/themes/current' to the folder name of the theme you are currently using (e.g. if your current theme is MCE, then set it to Images_MC)
  • delete the 'Images' and 'Images.previous' directories
  • rename the folder of the theme you are currently using to 'Images'
  • restart the UI
Now you should be able to switch between themes again. In general, the theme switch will rename your current 'Images' directory to the original theme name, and rename the newly selected Images_* folder to 'Images'.

Don't know when it was added, but having that paste feature for the RSS feeds makes it SO MUCH easier to put feeds in.

Hi Dirk,

How would you go about increasing the number of weather maps beyond 7?

Can't seem to get the URL recognised. I have in my properties file :

sagemc/wximage_url_1=http\://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/charts/uk/uk_summary_%Y%M%D12.jpg

(I also added a non-dynamic URL so I know the file changes were picked up)

and todays weather map is :

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/charts/...y_07010312.jpg

Thanks

Hi Tim,

yeah you found a bug, it's not handling single-digit months/days correctly. I attached a version with a temp fix for this.

Dirk,

Is there a possibility to make the Video play lists act more like the Stock STV play list. The reason I am asking is that I have Playlist of some complete series... and it is easier to play them through playlists.

In The SageMC playlists I cannot View details or play from a specific one.
Also the SagMC playlist on a 4.3 Display really cuts of the episode names as compared to the Stock STV.

Pictures Attached.

Thanks for the quick fix, I guess I replace /c/Program Files/SageTv/sagetv/stvs/Sagetv3/SageMC_169.xml with your file right ? (renaming it to SageMC_169.xml)

I'll try it out tonight and report back

That is the correct location.

You can rename it, or you can just select it as your new STV, with the current name. It keeps you from having to get out of SageTV (or doing a couple extra steps to get around changing the name when SageTV is open). Then once the next version comes out, you can just select the original...

Just tried it and it doesn't appear to have made a difference (yes, I was being a doofus for not realising I could select it as an STV)
