A lot of the issues were caused by an incorrect download package where sagemc.jar was named sagemc.zip. Did you check if you have a sagemc.zip in your JARs directory ? If so, rename it to sagemc.jar, and restart SageMC.

Yeah, I never noticed that in the MC theme I am using. So I just checked, and indeed those icons are 26x26, and they display fine at least on 1360x768 ...

Tried that, no luck. Everything else seems to be working fine.

By not working, do you mean the commercial breaks do NOT show up in the timebar, or that they do, but it just doesn't skip?

Sorry, should have been more specific. There are no commercials marked in the time bar anymore since I installed 13a. Even old shows that I am positive have valid skip data aren't working anymore, so it isn't a problem with how skip data is being created. (I use .edl files for HD recordings.)

Since I had a similar issue, check out this: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...postcount=1956

Also, I was testing from place shifting. Everything is working fine from the clients once I sorted out the jars. Here's a list of my JARs directory

This is a pretty clean install. Only Sage 6, SageMC, and webserver.

For the record, I still don't get the comskip on PS clients. Is this supposed to work? I am using UNC paths.

Horseflesh,

I had same problem as you. I noted the Sagemc.jar file I had was a different size to the one in the 13a pack. Once I replaced the jar file I was back in action with comskip (SA using dirmon).

So which jar file did you keep? 13a or the older one?

Bug: Disable UI animations

Hi Dirk,

I have UI animations disabled. When I go in and do a manual search the animation of the window still happens.

TIA

Hi,

I searched around a bit but had no luck, so please excuse me if this has been covered.

I would like to install flachbar's build of sagemce. Currently I am still using the "latest dev build" that was published by mlbdude way back when. I have read install notes for flachbar's version which indicates that I should just install the "base" build of sagemce and then flachbar's latest build. My question is: Can I install flachbar's latest over mlbdude's latest rather than over just the "base" version?

TIA

Jesse

Yes. Those were instructions for somone that has never used SageMC, and wants to use Flachbar's latest version.

The "Latest Dev Build" from mlbdude just contains his updates to the STV file only, so there was no need to update the entire "base" package, every time he made a change, that didn't involve support files.

Since the "Latest Dev Build" is just an STV file, there is no real need to install it, if you don't plan on using it.

Flachbar's latest build does include some other support files along with it though.

To make a long story short, you don't even need the "Latest Dev Build" from mlbdude, if you just want the latest SageMC.

Hi geo,

Thanks for your reply.

I am afraid I am still unclear. I understand that mlbdudes latest dev is not necessary when using flachbar's latest dev. My question is will its presence cause a problem? I have been using mlbdude's latest for months and I dont want to do a complete re-install of sage to get rid of it unless I absolutely have to. Can I just install flachbar's latest right along with it or will that cause problems?

TIA

Jesse

No, its presence won't cause a problem. Yes install it, then select it as the STV.

Flachbar - not sure if you saw this?

If you did and it's something specific to my rig you can't help with, apologies.

Current Temp on the Home Page

Dirk,

I'm trying to convert from a Medio(HDeeTV theme)/Sage set-up to using SageMC exclusively. I miss having the current temp and weather condition in the corner of the home page. Is it possible to add this to SageMC? (Of course, I may be the only one who would want this!! )

Thanks.

Maybe lower right hand corner? Would need to be an option, as it does not fit with the SageMC simplistic theme...would be cool though.

Yep, you could also delete the extra STV's in the ...Program Files/SageTV/SageTV/STVs/SageTV3 directory, such as the original SageMC STV from the base installation (will be a .stv file), and you can then delete the SageMC from mlbdude's latest (which will be a .xml file). However, I can't remember if Dirk changed the name or not, so possibly, just installing his will overwrite the latest from mlbdude (if it has the same name).

***Note. Just be careful what you delete, and make sure you know what Sage is currently using as the STV. If you delete the one it is currently using, that will not be good. You'll probably have to go into the properties file and change it manually.***

I try and keep the STV's cleaned up, because it makes things easier to keep track of, especially when using imports.
