setup problem

Hi,

I am completely new to sageTV.
I have here the hauppauge PVR 250 and just downloaded the trial version of sageTV.
I am having problems with the setup:
When I want to switch on TV (activating "Live TV" in the main menu), it tells me "No valid sources defined. You need to run the Setup Wizard."
Of course I did define my source. When activating "Remove A Source" in the Setup Wizard, it is listed as:
"Source # 1:Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture TV
Tuner, Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture TV Tuner,
No IR Control"

Any Idea on what is going wrong here?

Can you use the card with the Hauppauge WinTV2000 application? Make sure it works with it first.

I really don't see anything strange in the Sage.properties file.

Have you tried to remove the source listed, and then shut down SageTV.

Restart SageTV and you should be taken to the SetupWizard. Re-setup the source and see if it is then recognized as a defined source.

WinTV works. I already removed the source and re-added it, but I did not shut down sage TV after deleting. Now that I did that, it seems to work: I get a snowy picture of an untuned channel.

Thank you so far, I'll be back, if I encouter problems with channel tuning
