disable on demand

Is there a way to disable on demand TV? I don'T want it. It's to slow on my 1800+, unless I use low quality. I would like to have the output of the card, nothing recorded on HD.

Thanks

Everything records to the HD. If that's not what you want you have the wrong product. You should also be using a tuner with hardware encoder on it. That way it should only have CPU utilization of about 15%. There are people running this on Pentium 3's. Make sure you're using the right hardware for the job.

OK I got an ATI wonder pro. I bought an ATI Elite first but it was horible. The video was cutting. I exchange it for an ATI wonder pro, now it's ok with multimedia center, but I would use Sage instead.

The ATI Elite would have been the better choice for Sage. ATI Wonder is a software encoding card and thus the issue you are having.

It's a shame you no longer have the 'Elite' card. I agree with gplasky on this, it would have been far superior for use with Sage. If you could have tried Sage with the Elite card, I'm sure this forum could have stepped you through whatever would have been necessary to fix the "cutting" problem.

I certainly would, if I were you. Let us know what you end up doing!

I exchange it for a wintv pvr usb2. Incredible! It work very well with sagetv or wintv2000.

Now I will have to buy sagetv. It's wonderfull, except for slow channel surfing.
