Angry hauppage 150 keeps detuning itself!

I am a newbie, so please bear with me. I'm running a 150 with sage on an older dell pentium III (650 / 384mb ram). Also running the client on a high end dell laptop -- which is the main point of having sage for me.

All works quite well with one HUGE exception. For no predictable reason, *all* the channels in live tv seem to periodically detune themselves (on both my old tower and the client laptop). When this happens, they are still visible, but heavily snowed. I've found a temporary fix -- in sage I remove the hauppage tuner source, and reselect it. I then perform a fresh channel scan -- and voila -- everything is beautiful again. That is, for the next hour or two, and at some point -- Argh, all channels detuned again! I can find no rhyme nor reason to this, other then that the more I change the channels, the more likely it seems that this detuning problem occurs -- whether that be from the client or at the main tower.

I know, I know, install the latest drivers. Found and used HCclear and unregister.bat -- installed latest versions of everything. Also dumped sage 4 and tried sage 5. Same issue keeps recurring no matter which version of drivers and software I try.

I should also note that the winTV software is showing a nice clear signal on all channels, even when sage is acting up. What in the world could be causing this?

I'm so close to having everything working great. Any ideas? Thanks so much for any help, or even any leads, you may have to offer.
