Media Extender versions?
I'm supposed to run the same SageTVclient version as the server with which it is connected. Correct?
So what about the Media Extender? Isn't it just a dedicated SageTVclient? How would I upgrade the extender version? |

The MVP extender is part of the SageTV installation, so once you install a SageTV upgrade, the MVP extender is also updated.
Edit: After upgrading SageTV, you should unplug your MVP for a little while, then plug it in again. Using the power button on the remote no longer turns it completely off, so a full power cycle is needed. - Andy

The MVP is the hardware used as the extender. There is nothing to do to upgrade it other than do the full power cycle after installing the SageTV update.
