Help - Lost my Recorded Shows

So, I upgraded to 5.0 so I could download the new placeshifter software - and lost all my recorded shows. They are still on my hard drive - but not showing up as options to watch with SageTV. There was something about going to Options and looking at Display Filter . . . can't find that anywhere.

Any suggestions?

The first thing I would do is make sure you installed SageTV in the same directory where the previosu version was installed -- it sounds like you installed it to a new location & it had to start all over with a new show database. If this is the case, uninstall the current version & then reinstall it where the previous version was.

If that isn't it, then the answer to your question about the Display Filter is: go to SageTV Recordings, use the Options command, and check the setting for th Display Filter to be sure it is set to All.

When I go to SageTV Recordings -the only place I can find an Options button is when I edit a recorded show. That brings up Options - none of which has Display Filter as a title. It shows: Watch Now; Record Options; View Recording Detail; Delete this Recording; Basic Options; View Additional Airings; View Historical Airings; Don't Like; Watched; Archive.

Under Basic Options I get the same stuff except airings and DOn't Like; Watched & Archived.

I probably did not download to the same directory - I honestly didn't pay attention. I just assumed, as an update, that it would overwrite the older version in the same directory.

Of course, I know have shows in this New directory - so maybe if I watch them I can download it again.

I'm not talking about an options button, I mean the Options command -- yellow button on the Hauppauge remote, Escape, Ctrl-O, right click with the mouse, or whatever else you have assigned to that command. But that probably isn't it & it just wasn't installed in the same place.
