SageTV 5.0.4 using SageMC 6.13a

Any ideas?

Nope, during demux/remux it should only be using ~10%. However, if the script found an error when it made a test DVD for the video then it will force it to transcode, in which case it will use 100%. You can search your log file for "nav" and see if it says that there is no transcoding nessisary.

I searched all of the files for "nav", and I couldn't find it. What type of error would cause it to force transcoding? I've tried two different shows, both of them send the CPU to 100%.

Thanks.

I found this in one of the log files:

Quote:

Then I found this:

I never really found out why that error occurs, however, I do know that it happens much less often on a fragmented drive. Don't worry too much though, I've found a new way to fix that error without doing a full transcode and it'll be included it in the next version.

Coming soon to a SageMC near you!

Testing is talking a lot longer than I anticipated () so I thought i'd share a little preview

And here's my favorite...

That's weird, that show used to be 30 minutes and now its 22 minutes... I wonder where that extra time went

Those pictures aren't displaying for me. I copy-pasted the URL's for them, and a website comes up wanting me to "Login to your Backpack". Any chance you could post them somewhere else?

Thanks.

Good call, being able to see the pictures is pretty important. Should be fixed now.

Looking good. Will the next release still be compatible with SageTV 5? Or will it only be v6 from now on?

Setup

I like the new look very much as far as being very MC like...

I do not have the DVD Burning mod installed and the install looks a bit complicated.

I am running Sage v6 and latest version of SageMC.

Should I wait for your new release before attempting to install?

Will it be as complicated?
JD

I'd wait, this new version is much easier to install than before (I hope!)

Yep, but only with .edl files, so now would be a good time to figure out how to get your comskipping software setup to output them

No release, just something cool

I was playing around last night and I figured out how to do something kinda cool. Using the same utilities I use to put together my dvd menus I can also generate some Apple “Front Row”-esque reflections on the fly. Check it out…

I'm not sure how yet, but I have to figure out a way to use this

Update:
Or even better still

Or maybe not, giving it proper perspective is a pain in the ass, but this doesn't look that bad

Update2: in a menu?

... ok, I'm done screwing around, back to the matter at hand

Cool! I am already using the edl comskip plugin, so I'm already outputting edl.

The new SageMC integration looks great. I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Is it possible for the DVD plug-in to just generate DVD image files and not do the burning? My burner is on another computer so I'd rather just copy the image files created by the plug-in and burn them manually using Nero.

evilpenguin, I'm planning on using this initially with Standard SageTV. Will that work, or do I need SageMC? I really look forward to the ability to simply select a show, tell it to burn, and then it burns. This is one feature that I am truely looking forward to!!!
