ATI new driver stops SageTV
Why do the last 2 new ATI CCC drivers stop SageTV from working? It changes the device to "ATI T200 Unified AV Stream". You can reinstall SageTV, and it gives "error -2,0x80070491, No signal". It is not listed in the "ignore encoder" list. I have read where other ATI AIW users are having the same problem with the device changing but no one has stated how to fix it for SageTV.
Thanks in advance, |

well if ati is going to have these drastic changes in there drivers, incompatibility is definately expected.
It is very irresponsible for ati to do this, I'm sure they won't work until a core change in sage is made. The AIW are terrible recording cards anyways. Just pony up and by a hardware encoder. |

This is a know problem for ATI drivers after 6.3
I encountered the same problem. It seems that ATI rewrote their driver starting with version 6.3. The new driver just does not work with SageTV.
The only thing that could help was to uninstall ATI software, and then install only the 6.2 driver. That restored SageTV recording. |
