sage will not start

I recently upgraded to 4.1, yesterday.

It seems that i forgot to enable the service initially so i didnt notice this error.

When the service is enabled sage hangs on "user interface manager is initializing..."

I don't know what to do about this. I need the service to be running, but if it is I cant open the UI.

What is the problem?

Was the service previously set to log in as a user w/a password? If so, I don't believe the upgrade installation preserves that setting.

You could enable debug logging (for both sage.properties & sageclient.properties since you are using service mode) to see what the logs might say.

Is there a firewall that won't allow the service & UI to talk to each other?

for the login it was default before and is still. No firewall.

i will enable debug and post results as soon as i have time

Are there instructions for upgrading posted anywhere?
Every time i have installed an upgraded version I have had some silly problem.
Maybe an autoupdate function would be a good idea.

ok, so i enabled logging and found my problem. I had an outdated stv file reference in the sageclient.properties file.
