GermSage and Nero ShowTime
Hello - I notice that sometimes when I go the media center and Sage loads Nero Showtime it doesn't always put it in the foreground. I've already checked the "Always On Top" in Nero Showtime and yet sometimes all I see is the "SAGE TV" scrolling on the screen and Nero plays the video behind the Sage Window. Is there anything I can do to keep it to the front? Should I use a different media player and if so which one? There are a few minor features I miss like two separate programmable skips and also easier access to slow motion or frame advance. But, in general, does anyone know why Nero sometimes is behind the Sage window?
Thanks, Mike |

Since Sage 4 I noticed a focus issue. I have the reverse problem that when I close Nero Sage wakes up but not to the forefront. I have to press the programmed button for Sage on my hauppauge remote to bring in to focus.
Are you using a remote? Is it the Hauppauge? If so, then just program one of the colored buttons to open ShowTime and that same button will bring it into focus as well. In Showtime there is a setting to get one of the skips back. I have my RW/FF buttons setup to increase or decrease from 1.5x to 32x speed and the bottom RW/FF buttons skip 30 Seconds.

Actually - now that I'm using the HIP program, I can force Nero to the front (or Sage) with the remote, but I shouldn't have to go through HIP to do this.
You said you have to press the "programmed button" to bring Sage to the front. I don't quite understand what you mean by this or what button this is. Also - How did you program the RW and FF buttons in ShowTime to increase or Decrease from 1.5x to 32x? I could not find keys to do this but have to program a right click and other mouse keys to the remote to do this which is somewhat inconvenient. Is there any other way? Same thing with exiting the program - I had to program mouse keys for this. By the way - have you noticed that Nero Showtime does not appear to provide a "smooth" FF or RW at certain speeds above 2x? It's as if it just gets stuck or frozen at a frame and then all of the sudden jumps. It does not appear smooth at the slower speeds from above 2x to around 8x. I also programmed a skip forward and back 60 seconds but I do miss the two skip speeds like we have in Sage. Thanks again, Mike |

I use hauppauge's remote IR program. it is very customizable and the Hauppauge remote has 4 color buttons on the bottom that I programmed to open different apps.
Red = Sage or SageClient Yellow = ShowTime Green = Zoomplayer So when I press one of these it opens the App or if the App is already open, it brings it to the foreground. In order to have it progress through the various RW/FF speeds I had to create 8 different ShowTime sections in the IR program. If you use the Hauppauge remote I can help you achieve this, if not than I can't. I too missed the two different skip times. That is why I switched to Zoomplayer...

What are you doing to flip applications? What codes or how are you bringing it to the foreground?
Also - how do you get showtime to progress through the RW/FF speeds? What commands in Showtime do you use? Thanks, Mike |
