Music Channels Dont Work

This is my hardware setup:

Plextor TV402U using cable tv input
Using PVR150 MCE Kit remote controller with USB Ir Reciever

I have STV channel setup for Digital Cable Extended Service.
My music channels are in the 940 - 980 range, but when I try to listen to one I just get the video feed from channel 2. They work with my digital cable box. Do I need to change my setup so that im controlling my cable box? And how does that work? Does my Plextor and my cable box change channels at the same time? Not sure how this works.
