Missing Local Channels from dishnetworks lineup
I have a question regarding the channel lineup. I've tried the dishnetworks basic and extended basic options and in both cases there are some channels missing from the lineup.
The Local Major networks are there (ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC) as channels 8400-8403, however, the remaining local channels are not there (8404-8407 for UPN, WB, PBS and another I cannot remember right now). I really need these channels, they contain many of our home teams sporting events (NBA and NHL) and they contain many of the kids shows my kids watch. Will these be added when the SAGE service goes to nationwide coverage? Is there a way for me to add them manually? Thanks for the help, Rob |

Ok, so there are several threads going on around this one regarding the same thing. What I gather from the responses is that Sage is currently buying a subset of Zap2it's data, but that starting Nov 1st Sage will be buying Zap2it's entire lineup. So the stations I'm looking for will be included starting Nov 1st (since they are currently part of Zap2it's data).

Rob,
Thanks for the valuable info here. I am experiencing the same issues. I'll wait until Nov.1 and hopefully your info will prove to be true! Michael |

Hi Micheal,
They announced national support last Tuesday. I went home last night and change the lineup in the setup wizard from something like "dish..." to "Dallas dish.. ". I'm sorry I'm not certain exactly what the label was, but after this change, all my channels show in the channel list on the following setup page and are now part of my guide. If your still missing channels, I suggest you ask about it on the forum. There are plenty of people here that know more about this than I do. Good Luck, Rob |

Upon further evaluation, I am actually experiencing a different issue here. I am using the Dish Network listing for Nashville, TN. On the channel selection page, my local channels are listed, in this case , channels 2, 4, 5, 17,30, and 58. All of these channels have the green circle selected, meaning that they should be available in my guide. However, when I check my guide, I find that the first channel is 100. I have unselected and then reselected these channels in the channel selection page, and still they do not show up in the guide.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? |

Do they appear elsewhere in the guide? (i.e. maybe its out of order)

Narflex,
Just figured this issue out. My guide has my local channels listed twice: for example, channel 2 (WKRN) is also channel 8550 (WKRN). It is exactly like this on my Dish unit itself as well, I just never navigated that deep down the guide on the Dish unit. Anyways, I unselected the entries from the 8550 range and now the entries from channels 2, 4, etc are showing up now. |
