I'm sitting on the fence on this one, I love my cleint machine, its somewhat reiable and stable but replacing it with a small quiet extender sounds like a dream come true. Its just that I have read way too many problems or issues about the extender to even consider this usalbe option at this point for my family.

My question is has Sagetv solve the remaining issues with brightness control ? because I believe this to be a hardware problem and not software issue.

Thanks

IMHO I am very pleased with my MVP issue. I just set the brightness for recording on the Sage srver to show properly on big screen. Since I no longer use the PC to watch / show TV on the big screen, this is not an issue. My picture is greta and I now actually watch Live TV on the big screen.

I have said before that I have no brightness issues. My picture through my MVP is the same as if I was watch regular TV. I don't believe it to be strictly a hardware issue, software and video codecs contribute to those that have problems.
